SMS Opt-In & Consent
Last updated: February 16, 2026
How Chirply Uses SMS
Chirply is a cloud-based business phone platform that enables businesses to communicate with their customers via voice calls and SMS text messages. When you provide your phone number to a business that uses Chirply, you may receive SMS messages related to your interaction with that business, including appointment reminders, order confirmations, service updates, account notifications, and customer support responses.
1. Digital Opt-In (Web Form)
Customers opt in to receive SMS messages by navigating to the Chirply platform at https://chirply.app/sms-opt-in or through a business's contact form that integrates with Chirply. The customer enters their phone number and explicitly checks the SMS consent checkbox before clicking "Submit."
Contact Information
By providing your phone number and clicking "Submit," you agree to receive SMS notifications and customer service messages from Chirply. Message frequency may vary. Standard Message and Data Rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. We will not share your mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. View our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
The SMS consent checkbox is unchecked by default. It is specific, explicit, and optional — separate from all other consent requests and not required to complete any purchase or transaction.
Confirmation SMS sent after opt-in:
"You have agreed to receive SMS updates from Chirply. Msg freq may vary. Std msg & data rates apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
2. Verbal Opt-In (Phone or In-Person)
Customers may opt in verbally when they call a business or visit in person. The business's phone number and address are published on their website and on the Chirply platform at https://chirply.app.
Agent script read to the customer:
"Would you like to sign up for SMS notifications from Chirply so we can send you appointment reminders, account updates, and customer service messages? By providing your phone number, you agree to receive SMS notifications and customer service messages from Chirply. Message and Data Rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. You can text HELP for support or more information and STOP to unsubscribe at any time. We will not share your mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. You can also find our privacy policy and terms of service on our website at https://chirply.app/privacy."
Confirmation SMS sent after verbal agreement:
"Chirply: You have agreed to receive SMS updates. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help."
3. Inbound Message Opt-In
Customers may opt in by sending an SMS message to a business's Chirply phone number. The business's phone number is published on their website, business cards, email signatures, and on the Chirply platform at https://chirply.app. When a customer initiates an SMS conversation, their inbound message serves as opt-in consent.
Auto-response sent to the customer:
"Thank you for your message to Chirply! We will be with you shortly. Msg freq may vary. Std msg & data rates apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. We will not share or sell your mobile information for marketing or promotional purposes."
